Consistent service with Azure

I've been using Azure for a while now, mostly for Azure SQL Database and App Service. This time I needed Azure Functions for a quick task. The experience was consistent with my previous orders. Things just worked as expected, no surprises. The billing section is also clear to see my usage. This reliability is why I keep coming back.

Easy to get started

Needed to host a small site for a friend and someone suggested Azure. I just signed up for a free account. Didn't have to put in any credit card details right away, which was nice. I used App Service and it was fairly straightforward to get the basic site up. There are a lot of options, which can be a bit much, but for simple stuff, it worked fine. Took about an hour to figure out. I might try Azure Storage next time.

Good value overall

I was looking to set up a small VM for a project and found the Azure free credit. It was easy to activate during sign-up. Got a good 30 days to test things out. It felt like I got good value for setting up my Virtual Machine.

Hey, thinking about trying out Azure for a small project. Do they still do that free credit thing for new users? And like, how much is it usually?

S Suresh kumar Ch 1 month ago
Yeah, they totally do! I signed up a few months ago and got $200 credit. It lasted me for 30 days, which was plenty to play around with a few VMs and databases.

Yep, it's usually $200 for your first month. You also get some popular services free for a year beyond that, so it's a pretty sweet deal to get started. Just make sure to keep an eye on your usage after the credit runs out so you don't get surprised.

Quick question on payment. What kind of payment methods does Azure generally accept? Gotta make sure my corporate card will work.

R rebecca ferguson 2 months ago
Pretty sure they take all the usual credit cards โ€“ Visa, Mastercard, Amex, all that. I've always used my company's Mastercard without any issues.

They're usually pretty flexible with payment methods. Most major credit/debit cards work, and I think you can also do wire transfers for larger enterprise accounts. Best to check their billing section when you're setting up, but standard cards are a safe bet.
